The YouTube personality has been recognized as the creator of a type of YouTube videos that centers on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson uploaded videos to YouTube when he was 13 using the name "MrBeast6000". His first videos were a mixture of videos and Let's Plays in which he estimated the wealth of other YouTubers. The YouTuber became famous in 2017 when his "Counting to 100,000" video received tens of thousands of views in a matter of days. Donaldson was able to have several of his childhood friends assist him in managing his expanding channel.
